Abstract of Talk: This talk will present the integration of nuclear-renewable integrated systems to support energy infrastructure. Different coupling mechanisms will be presented to support different installations and user requirements. Design and operation strategies and various technologies will be illustrated to deploy nuclear-renewable hybrid energy systems and their use for different applications in city, urban, and remote communities. Performance measures are proposed to evaluate different strategies. The talk will include techno-economic evaluation of interconnected nuclear-renewable micro hybrid energy systems with combined heat and power, and their impact on a number of implementation strategies.  Strategies will be illustrated to deploy nuclear- renewable hybrid energy system (N-R HES), with considerations on scalability, capital cost, project lifetime, and other implementation parameters. Nuclear technologies will be presented, including Small Modular Reactor (SMR) or Micro Modular Reactor (MMR), as integrated within micro energy grids. Resiliency and performance measures will be discussed in view of a number of operation and control strategies to meet user requirements.

NUS Climate Analytics & Technology brought together 12 selected NUS students for the Athenian Edge Climate Action Lab at Temasek Shophouse, facilitated by Natasha Garcha, author of *Gender Equality and Climate Security: The Athenian Edge*. 🌱🌏 Through an engaging session, participants explored the gender–climate–peace nexus, the four Athenian Edges, the roles of policy and finance, blended finance, and the Women’s Livelihood Bond in driving climate action. More importantly, this encouraged participants to think beyond frameworks and explore how these ideas can be translated into meaningful climate action. And the journey doesn’t end here! ✨ Four participants will continue their learning through a 6-month mentorship pathway, with opportunities to deepen their knowledge and develop their climate aspirations. A big thank you to Natasha for sharing her insights, and to all our participants for bringing your perspectives, curiosity and enthusiasm! 💚
