I miss who I was 40 seconds ago before seeing what a dermoid cyst looks like
I created a small landing/promotional page for my local gym (which I have been going to for the last two years). I did it for the love of the game to be honest and I may give it to them for free.
I did learn a lot while building this since I never build something for a local company aside from work stuff (put me on fraud watch😭).
I used React, Tailwindcss, and Motion framer to create something I thought I couldn't have. Even though small, I think it's a good step forward (for me at least). More simple and complex projects coming soon.
Take a look here and let me know what you think. I'm down for any feedback😁
I want to get something of my chest (and any one can add in or also correct me as I am open to understanding things better). I genuinely believe that kindness and sportsmanship is the way to push people forward in their goals. Of course tough love is something that's needed, you can't always expect things to be sunshine and rainbows, let alone give false hope when one isn't putting in the work.
But for the people who think that insulting others for trying or being so rude and putting people down rather than pass the message that could have been said in a kind and eye opening manner, what are you doing? What is the point? Words literally are what makes and breaks a person.
I don't want to hear any of that: You have to fight back and be stronger regardless of what anyone says. That is a fact that anyone should follow, let alone hold into their minds (no one is going to save you alas). But remember we are all human, we literally started off at the same point in time and while others found the footing and drive to get to higher places, others get stuck and stumble. Not everyone has the same way of dealing with stuff and I don't think trashing on someone or a group with unnecessary negativity really will make a difference.
Hell I'm not saying this because I lack something. Of course i do, and I know for a fact I need to work harder, 100 times harder than the average programmer because I'm not built like y'all. I'm not smart or understand things as quickly but I know for a fact I'll reach there at some point or another. And since I have seen my struggles, I want to make sure that the next person (regardless of skill) is seen, and that their effort matters.
Probably went on a tangent here and there but I just wanted to say this. Maybe my point isn't clear or I'm being confusing 😂 Either way keep working hard, and create a space that is positive, strong and pushes people to be better. Tough love is good but know the extent of how far you're going I guess. ✌🏾
