Graduation Year: 2024 🎯 Quick Questions 5. One thing most students DON’T know about your branch: It does not teach software or CS fundamentals; it is heavily focused on just core electronics. 6. Biggest misconception about your branch: Expecting a blend of software and hardware. In reality, it is hardcore electronics with a demanding curriculum (especially in semesters 4, 5, and 6). 7. Best opportunity available in this branch (placement, startup, research, higher studies, etc.): Core electronics roles and research. (It is not ideal for software jobs, and startup opportunities depend entirely on the college environment, not the branch). 8. One thing you wish someone had told you before joining this branch: I wish someone had told me it was purely electronics, so I could have figured out how to manage and learn software/DSA on my own much earlier. 9. Biggest drawback of this branch: A highly difficult curriculum compared to other branches. 10. Rate your branch out of 10: 6.5 to 7 / 10 11. Would you choose the same branch again? ☐ Yes ☑ No 12. Why? (One-line answer) My goals align with business, startups, and software tech, which a CSE curriculum would have supported much better than core electronics and research. 13. One piece of advice for JoSAA 2026 students: Read the specific branch curriculum before joining, and prioritize the overall college environment and exposure over just maximizing your CTC. 🎥 Bonus Reel Question (Most Important) If you had 15 seconds to convince a Class 12 student to JOIN or AVOID your branch, what would you say? Don't pick a branch just for 'exploration'—exploration happens through the college environment, completely independent of your branch.
