Day 6/10 | J.S. MILL "It is better to be a Socrates dissatisfied than a fool satisfied." Raised on Bentham's utilitarianism, he rewrote it: pleasure has quality, not just quantity. Then he wrote the classic defence of individual liberty, and still asked for plural voting. The sheet ends with 13 Mill-linked PYQs, from 1995 to 2026. Two-minute test before you open the PDF: ⏺ The harm principle: what does it allow, and where does it stop? ⏺ In which two senses is Mill a "reluctant democrat"? Write your answers. Then check pages 1 and 2. Next: Marx, on 23 October. #ActiveRecallSeries @PSIRCompass

A vote in Kerala is worth almost twice a vote in Bihar. On projected 2026 population, Bihar has one Lok Sabha seat for every 33.8 lakh people. Kerala has one for every 18 lakh. That is the delimitation debate in two lines, and it is one of 6 free articles in this sample of Global Churn Issue 07, our PSIR current affairs magazine. ⏺ Paper 1B: delimitation, the OBC creamy layer, the freedom struggle at 80 ⏺ Paper 2B: Hasina and the Bangladesh reset, tariffs and India-US ties, the Mecca pact and West Asia Every article sits under a syllabus topic, with Scholars' Perspectives: one view that agrees, one counter view. The full issue has 44 articles. All 7 issues are in the PSIR Current Affairs course. Check the sample above ⬆️ ⏺ To Get every issue: click here @PSIRCompass

The father of liberalism watched a king removed without a drop of blood, in 1688, and concluded that government holds power only on trust. If it breaks that trust, the people can change it. The sheet ends with 11 Locke PYQs, from 1996 to 2025. Two-minute test before you open the PDF: ⏺ Locke has two contracts. Day 4/10 | HOBBES "Covenants without swords are but words." He wrote Leviathan out of a civil war, two years after his king was beheaded, and gave the first complete theory of sovereignty. Two-minute test before you open the PDF: ⏺ The three causes of conflict in his state of nature? ⏺ Why, for Hobbes, is a law without the power to punish no law at all? Write your answers. 📌 Where Does India Stand in Organski’s Power Pyramid? Organski’s Power Transition Theory (1958) sees world politics as a hierarchy, not a system of equals: dominant nation, great powers, middle powers, small powers, colonies. Those at the top built the order, so they are mostly satisfied. Lower down, the dissatisfied share grows. War risk peaks when a dissatisfied great power nears parity with the dominant nation: China vs USA today. Where India sits • Power: moving out of the middle powers band into the great powers band. • Satisfaction: only partly satisfied. Wants a UNSC seat, more IMF voice, NSG entry, but does not want to pull down the order. So India is a reformist rising power, not a revisionist challenger. New Delhi calls it “reformed multilateralism”.

Day 3/10 | MACHIAVELLI "It is better to be feared than to be loved." Most people quote it as an insult. Very few can explain what he actually meant. A patriot who wanted Italy united, he judged political action by political morality, not by religion or ethics. The sheet ends with 11 Machiavelli PYQs, from 1998 to 2026, three of them pairing him with Kautilya. Two-minute test before you open the PDF: ⏺ Fortuna and virtù: what is each, and how does a prince use one against the other? ⏺ Why must a prince be both a fox and a lion? Write your answers. Then check page 1. Next: Hobbes, on 17 October. #ActiveRecallSeries @PSIRCompass

Daal Roti ke Bhav Pata Lagna For the last two or three days, I had been avoiding calls with my parents. Not because something was wrong, but because I knew that the moment I heard their voices, I would break. Today I picked up. And exactly as I feared, I cried. The Name I Carry: I was born the younger son of Subhash Balaprasad Ajmera. To someone else, that may sound like just a name. To me, it carries the weight of everything I come from. I arrived at a time when his life was climbing. A doctor who became a businessman. Then one factory. Then a second. Then a third. I say this not to boast, but to confess something: I was lucky. If not a golden spoon, then certainly a silver one. I never had to ask for anything twice. Things simply arrived. Let me explain his stature in one line: until I was 28, I had never earned a single rupee. Never paid rent. He funded my education, my needs and even my pleasures. Yes, I had my share of struggles. But I struggled from a place of safety, and that safety had a name. The Bill I Never Saw Today I am 30. And for the first time in my life, I have rented a flat. For the first time, I have hired maids. For the first time, I am buying ration, managing transport, running a business and watching it make a loss. And honestly? My spending habits are terrible. I have ordered Starbucks five days in a row. (Yes, I am laughing too. A little nervously.) There is one thing my father taught me without ever sitting me down to teach it: you cannot give excuses to your family. It is your duty to give them a good life. If 10 hours of work a day is not enough, you work 18. Growing up, I only saw the glamour. People called him a one man army. They called him the Steel King of Jalna. I saw Chief Ministers, MLAs and MPs share a warm bond with him. I saw him help countless poor people, as much as he possibly could. You asked, and he gave. What I never saw was the price. He paid for every single thing he gave, in blood and sweat. Today he lives with BP and sugar. And yet, not once did he have an excuse for anything we wanted. Will I Be Even 1% of Him? The irony is not lost on me. Health wise, I am already walking his path: overworking, gaining weight, ignoring my body. Humans can be foolish like that. We watch our elders pay the price and still refuse to learn. But the questions that keep me awake are different. Will I ever be even 1% of what he was? Will my children have to think twice before asking me for something special? When will I give my wife her first gift of gold? When will I take my parents, my brother and bhabhi, and my in-laws on a foreign trip? They have given me so many. When will I give one back? The Maths of a Rented Flat As I write this, I am sitting in my newly rented flat, adding up the monthly expenses. And it hits me like nothing ever has. He must have done these calculations too. He must have sat with these same numbers, these same fears, these same pressures. And we never knew. Not once did he let it reach us. That is how big he is. Somewhere along the way, he quietly placed our needs, and the family's needs, above his own. He carried the burden of responsibility so gracefully that we mistook it for ease.Today, I finally know the price of daal roti. A Small Promise I don't know what the future holds for me. But I know where I have to begin. Tomorrow, I will not order Starbucks. It doesn't fit the maths. Papa carried us for 30 years. Now it is my turn to carry the responsibility.

🔗 Habermas in a Manipur answer. Manipur in a Habermas answer. This is what PSIR toppers scoring 280+ do and most of us don't: they take one concept and use it in two papers. 📌 Habermas's legitimation crisis (1A) ⇄ the crisis of governance in Manipur (1B) 📌 Gramsci's hegemony (1A) ⇄ social movements in India (1B) 📌 Kautilya's mandala (1A) ⇄ India and South Asia (2B) 📌 Article 253 and the Teesta veto (1B) ⇄ India-Bangladesh (2B) And these were made in real topper copies: under Planning, a topper brought in Joseph Nye's soft power. Under NHRC, Kant's categorical imperative. Under Grassroot democracy, Elinor Ostrom. The PSIR Interlinking Playbook has 122 such bridges, each with both answers written out, one from each side. 102 pages. Free. 👉 Fill this form and get the PDF on WhatsApp by 15 October Only those who fill the form will get it.

Day 2/10 | ARISTOTLE "Those who can live without the state are either god or beast, but not man." Plato's greatest disciple, and his greatest critic. Plato hunted the best state; Aristotle studied 158 constitutions and settled for the best practicable. The sheet ends with 12 Aristotle PYQs, from 1995 to 2021. Two-minute test before you open the PDF: ⏺ His six forms of government: which three are normal, and which three perverted? ⏺ Why is polity the best practicable form, and which class holds it together? Write your answers. Then check page 2. Next: Machiavelli, the man who took politics away from the philosophers. 15 October. #ActiveRecallSeries @PSIRCompass

📖 Why we are giving 2 months of work away for free Let me be honest with you. The most common gap I see in PSIR copies is no+3
📖 Why we are giving 2 months of work away for free Let me be honest with you. The most common gap I see in PSIR copies is not knowledge. Aspirants know Habermas. They know Manipur. But in the exam hall they write them as two separate answers, and the examiner never sees the connection. So we sat with 479 published PSIR Paper 1 topper answers and recorded, for every one of them, where else in the syllabus it reached. 477 of them did. The median answer carried 3 links. Nothing else we measured came close: diagrams showed up in 6% of answers, books in 41%. That told us what to build. Not a list that says "this relates to that", because a link without a mechanism is just a name-drop. Ankit Rana sir and I wrote out 122 bridges, and for every bridge, both answers: the theory answer that lands on India, and the India answer that borrows the theory. 1A into 1B, 1B into 2B, 2A into 2B, and back again. It took us 2 months. We could have priced it. We decided not to. If this is what we give for free, you can judge for yourself what our paid courses carry. That is the whole pitch, and I would rather you judge us by the work. How to use it, in 3 sittings: 1️⃣ The method (pages 4-6, forty minutes): the 4 parts of a bridge, the 3 ways it fails, and one model pair written out in full. 2️⃣ Your weaker paper first: Set 1 if it is Paper 1, Set 6 if it is Paper 2. Read 10 cards, then write 2 answers without looking. 3️⃣ One cross-paper set a week. These are the directions most aspirants never practise. 👉 Fill this form and get the PDF on WhatsApp by 15 October Only those who fill the form will get it.
