#nerd_af finally, finished the basics. even though there are 5 courses left for MATLAB Associate level and important courses like Visualization, Image Segmentation and Analysis, Control System Design, Core Signal Processing, etc., i think i overdosed myself with this software. i think i will do them on weekends after catching up with fusion, philosophy of science, calculus, physics, and c++.

If you remember, yesterday’s guy had one skill in his bachelor’s that i was working on as well: MATLAB. I am almost done with it on a simple scale, meaning there are courses left for more specific topics like visualization, artificial intelligence, etc. I will be learning them as well, since it is necessary for a mechanical engineer to know them and to be able to implement them literally for robot vision, modeling the surroundings in robot’s mind (chip) and other cool stuff as well. More to go these two weeks: - Advanced MATLAB in Programming - Simulink - Visualization And others i dont quite remember yet. Also, covering fusion360 lectures in parallel. Out of 25-30 sections, i have finished only 4, yet i already know most of the functions which i acquired from autocad. And i think that once a man really gets proficient in computer-aided design, he can easily switch from one software to another. After all, it’s just intricate user interface that changes. Ofc I have already put it on LinkedIn.

this brother studied mechanical engineering and now works at amazon looking through his bachelor's progress, i told myself i am on the right path. not because i chose mechanical engineering rather than others, but because i see the things im learning. matlab, cad design, c++, etc. i am aware that there is a lot to learn, but i am not falling behind at least. roughly 5-7 courses are left from matlab, and i can confidently say i know matlab. since autocad is mostly used for 2d drawings and sketches, i left it rest after two easy-to-decent projects and started/continued learning fusion360. most of the functions are same, but fusion is richer in 3d design and assembly compared to autocad. i will be coming back to autocad during holidays to make two much harder/time-consuming projects: one house model (2d & 3d) and water pumping machine/motor in 3d. when it comes to fusion, there are some decent projects from udemy classes which i will be doing during holidays. the harder ones will be left for the next semester. if i take basic mechanical practice for CAD and mechatronics system design for arduino from ME department, i will be working on those projects as well. despite those courses, i will be learning arduino during february in uzbekistan and come up with cool ideas like mp3 player or robot. i will be 3d printing parts once i come back to KAIST and assemble it. all in all, i just want to say there is a lot more to do apart from my courses. so many skills in each subfield. do i want to do advanced major at KAIST? most probably. so there is no way i am slipping one or two down the way bugunga yetadi

though i am not a ufc expert, i really like watching fights during the supper and playing it on playstation. i also love the fighting style of zabit. his kicks, his takedowns, his unexpected shots. everything aligns perfect just like mcgregor's. i don't have a particular reason why i am fond of zabit more than conor. i just like his style more. he is roughly the same height as me, +-2 cm (most likely -). his weight class is featherweight, which is really close to mine. i stand in lightweight, but also does zabit without cutting. might be even more. i am currently 73 kilos with a little excess fat. goal is to hit 80 kilos. no deadline, just accumulate muscle and try to keep it up. i have trained my legs only three to four times, meaning most of the muscle mass comes from my upper body. since it's a universally known fact that legs hold most of the muscle mass (not in my case), i can get to 80 much faster if i train them. i wanted to enroll to any martial arts club next semester, but there isn't any MMA, and the boxing club requires proficiency in korean, which i think is totally unrelated to the club activity. the only choice left is taekwondo. i will be doing boxing some time in between taekwondo and my studies, piano and technical skills acquisition. KAIST Chronicles as well said they are open for a new member who writes poetry. on top of that, i was planning to get 20+ credits and join microrobot research club next semester as well. however cringe it might sound, college is about trying out new things. into arts and martial arts, academia and profession. but for now i have to put it all aside because finals are coming in 10 days. gotta pass all courses. Zabit in sports, Mozart in piano, Pushkin in poetry, and dont know great people in science that much, Einstein?
