IEEFA’s report examines five critical minerals (and their compounds) — cobalt, copper, graphite, lithium and nickel — from the perspectives of import dependency, trade dynamics, domestic availability, and global price fluctuations.
The findings show that India remains largely import-dependent for these minerals and their compounds, with 100% import reliance for minerals like lithium, cobalt, and nickel.

Key focus on 'PRAHAAR’ policy:

India recorded 177,177 deaths in road accidents in 2024, with the heaviest toll in #UttarPradesh (24,118), followed by Tamil Nadu (18,449), #Maharashtra (15,715), Madhya Pradesh (14,791) and #Karnataka (12,390).
#Rajasthan (11,790) and #Bihar (9,347) were also among the worst-hit, while #Telangana (7,949), #Gujarat (7,717), Chhattisgarh (6,945), #WestBengal (6,678) and Odisha (6,142) reported large numbers as well.
At the lower end, #Lakshadweep reported 0 deaths, and the #AndamanandNicobar Islands reported 29.
