Apparently, all it takes to get tired of short articles is reading one good long one.
On slower and deeper ambitions, you know what I realized, I don't want to make everything look like I started it yesterday and got here today. In fact, I want to take my time with the things I value in life. I want to be that 25 year old soul with "an old soul", the one who has spent years reading good literature to still stay curious, the one who knows just enough about art but is visiting art galleries in Paris with a wide eye, the one who's doing so good in her career but is just getting started with the real splash she wants to build. I want to be that 50-year-old with a life well-lived, one who's telling beautiful stories and is writing good books, one who's so prolific in philosophy, one who can play chess well, and one who still has good friends that she can call her people. I'm realizing there's beauty in things that take time. The ups and downs, the valleys of despair and the highs of eureka, the quiet but meaningful obsession to still have fun even in the worst of ditches, and the journey. The cliche quote did get it right: the beauty is the journey, as much as the destination.
Can't believe how much I needed this, go and read it.
Me in my late 40s, but with who?
Solo dates but make them cheap
(In my case)
Convos these days:
"How's so and so?"
"He's getting married."
"Oh wow, how's....?"
"Oh, she just got engaged"
😐
Quick call, know any ride drivers who're willing to go to Kera late?
