CARDING & BANKING TERMS EXPLAINED FOR NOOBS HERE
1. CCs that start with 3xxxx-xxxx-xxxx are AMEX cards
2. CCs that start what number 4xxx-xxxx-xxxx are VISA CARDS
3. CCs that start with number 5xxx-xxxx-xxxx are MasterCard
4. CCs that start with number 6xxx-xxxx-xxxx are Discover
Cards.
5. CC - Credit card
6. Cardholder - Owner of the card
7. CVV - 3 or 4 additional number found at the back of the card
8. CVC/CVC2 - card verification code. Just like the cvv but for
MasterCard
9. VBV - Verified by Visa (extra protection on the card)
10. BIN- Bank identification Number. The first 6 digits of
the cc to identity the issuing bank and card type.
11. Skimmers - they use skimmer hardware to clone credit cards in store with the help of some accomplice. When a customer makes a payment for something in a store, skimmers clone the card in a matter of seconds using a skimmer hardware
12. Billing Address - the card/ bank owner’s address
13. Drop/Client/Picker – the Receiver. His task is to receive the money or the goods and will take his cut
14. Charge Back - when the cardholder or bank owner
calls the bank to return the money
15. Slip - synonym to the word “Cheque”
16. MMN - Mothers Maiden name
17. ACH- Adding an external bank log to drop’s bank via micro deposit and running a bank transfer

33. A/N - Account Number.
34. R/N - Routine Number.
35. Mobile Deposit - downloading the bank app, creating a Cheque and depositing the check into the bank account using the app
36. Bill Pay - Sending a Cheque to a drop’s house address
so he can walk to bank to deposit it
37. DDA - Sending a Cheque to drop’s bank address so the bank can deposit into the bank. You do this when the bank asks for A/N and not R/N
38. Direct deposit - Sending the Cheque directly to bank
account. This is when the log asks for A/N and R/N when filling information, direct deposit doesn’t charge back
39. Zelle transfer - Sending a $2,500 limit zelle bank
transfer to another bank
40. HELOC - Equity line of credit , it is loaded the same way you do with credit cards, you login the HELOC, add account information and make payment
41. Tax Refund - Citizens file this every year, to be paid
some benefit out of the taxes they paid in the previous year
42. Secured credit cards - Just like credit cards but they don’t check credit score before approval, so you will be asked to make initial deposit before card is approved but limit start low
43. Canada interac transfer - Sending $3,500 limit transfer to other Canada banks
44. BEC wire - Business email compromise , they hack the
businessman’s email, once the customer asks for invoice
for payment , then submit their own bank details so the customer will mistakenly wire the money into it
45. Payroll - Where they send an email to a company’s HR by cloning one of the employees email, and letting HR start sending someone’s salary to a different bank account
