The InteRussia Fellowship Programme in Engineering Opens at Novosibirsk State University ✨ On 2 June, Novosibirsk State University (NSU) officially opened the third InteRussia Fellowship Programme for young international professionals in the fields of Artificial Intelligence in Medicine and Smart City. The programme brought together participants from Ghana, Haiti, India, Mexico, Nepal, Nigeria, Peru, Serbia, South Africa, Sudan, and Turkmenistan. Mikhail Fedoruk, Rector of Novosibirsk State University, welcomed the fellows and highlighted the unique scientific environment of Akademgorodok:

The InteRussia Fellowship in Medicine Concludes at the Gorchakov Fund  ⤵️ On 29 May, the Gorchakov Fund hosted the closing ceremony of the InteRussia Fellowship in Medicine, implemented in cooperation with Sechenov University. Over the course of the programme, young medical professionals from Argentina, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, China, India, Indonesia, Kyrgyzstan, Malaysia, Morocco, Serbia, Turkmenistan, and Vietnam worked alongside leading Russian experts, gaining hands-on experience in research, laboratory work, and clinical practice. The participants were addressed by: 📌 Lyana Dymova, Academic Programs Coordinator at the Gorchakov Fund 📌 Mark Taratkin, Head of Academic Cooperation at the International Office of Sechenov University Lyana Dymova highlighted the role of medicine as a bridge between nations:

InteRussia Launches Fellowship for Russian Language Specialists ⭕️ On 19 May, the Gorchakov Fund officially opened the sixth InteRussia fellowship programme for foreign specialists in Russian language and philology — the only InteRussia fellowship conducted entirely in Russian and designed specifically for those who professionally study and teach the language around the world. The fellows were welcomed by: ⭕️ Sergey Orlov, Deputy Executive Director of the Gorchakov Fund; ⭕️ Dina Gorbacheva, Vice-Rector of the Pushkin State Russian Language Institute; ⭕️ Yulia Karmanova, Head of the Department of Continuing Education at the Pushkin Institute. This year’s fellows represent 16 countries: Algeria, Argentina, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Vietnam, India, Indonesia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Senegal, Serbia, Tajikistan, Tunisia, Turkmenistan, Türkiye, Uzbekistan and Sri Lanka. For a month, InteRussia fellows from South Asian countries in Journalism stepped into this process — working in newsrooms and engaging with how global media operates. Here’s how the program unfolded in practice 🌱 At the Sputnik studio, fellows followed editorial processes from the inside observing how stories are selected, shaped, and adapted for different audiences. 🌱 Fellows had the opportunity to speak with Maria Zakharova and Andrey Rudenko, as well as other representatives from the foreign policy and media sphere. 🌱 The program also included visits to major media platforms such as RT and TV BRICS. Fellows explored how international broadcasting works in practice. 🌱 Walking through Moscow and a visit to the ballet at the Bolshoi Theatre offered a different form of storytelling where expression is carried through movement, music, and visual composition. This is exactly what fellows explored as part of the InteRussia Fellowship in Oriental Studies at the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences — working with archives, museums, and academic experts. What did it look like in reality? ⭕️Under the guidance of scholars from the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, fellows developed their own research projects, working directly with primary sources and visiting archives. ⭕️At the Institute of Oriental Manuscripts in St. Petersburg, fellows worked with rare texts, focusing on how knowledge is preserved and studied. ⭕️ At the State Historical Museum, they traced how cultures and empires evolved over time. That’s exactly what brought energy professionals from the Middle East and Africa to Kazan. So what did it look like in practice? ⭐️ At the Energoprom Forum, fellows stepped into a high-level professional space where discussions focused on real industry challenges: infrastructure resilience, technological modernization, and the future of energy systems. ⭐️ At Innopolis University and the Free Economic Zone, they explored how digitalization, education, and business are integrated into one ecosystem — an environment where new energy solutions emerge and scale. ⭐️ As part of the program, participants visited Tatenergosbyt, Grid Company, the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Iskra Volga Technopark, and also took part in a meeting with the State Committee on Tariffs of the Republic of Tatarstan. ⭐️ During an informal exchange with KSPEU international students, fellows compared academic paths, explored differences in national energy systems, and discovered how closely their challenges align across countries. ⭐️ And of course, no experience would be complete without cultural immersion: fellows uncovered the secrets of Syuyumbike, explored the Sviyazhsk Island-Grad, and expanded their vocabulary — chak-chak and echpochmak quickly became their favorite words (and dishes).
