💥 Are you ready for a new kind of contest on Repovive? 💥
For the first time, you get to put your software engineering skills to competition through our SWE Contest.
How does it work?
You get dropped into a repository you have never seen, with a coding agent next to you. You solve problems in the repo with the agent's help.
You are judged on correctness, code quality, and how well your code follows the repo's standards.
We are starting with a challenge, not a rated round. It has no impact on your rating.
This is the first time something like this is happening, and we need your feedback. Try the concept, find bugs in our system, and tell us what felt wrong.
Think our judge got it wrong? Report it and earn vive.
Stay tuned for details! 👊

Unpopular(?) Opinion:
OpenAI (and frontier labs) have served (and will serve) mathematics more than all the mathematics researchers in history combined.
Shayan says why:

For example:
• Migrate a codebase to a new language with AI, keeping it idiomatic and not AI slop.
• Get dropped into a new environment as the on-call engineer, navigate an incident with an AI agent, and ship a fix.

If by any chance you had to multiply matrices today, know that you can do it in n^2.25 :)

Suppose someone writes i instead of n at one point in their proof. It’s clearly a slip, but it makes the logic incorrect as written.
Do you think the judge should accept it or reject it?

After our first math contest, we graded 534 borderline submissions to create a gold standard. Then, we ran some experiments on how to improve it.
These accuracies are for this curated set of suspicious submissions. Overall accuracy is currently above 95%.

We’re proud to have held our first live math contest on Repovive, with nearly 200 participants. Five GPT-6 agents evaluated the submitted proofs, and their assessments were combined into a single verdict: Accepted or Rejected, with no partial credit.
We wanted to bring the live contest experience of competitive programming to mathematics, and it was exciting to see people try this format. We’ve received encouraging feedback on both the problems and the judging system.
The number of participants who solved each problem was:
A: 143 · B: 97 · C: 60 · D: 16 · E: 5
We’re committed to continuing this contest series and improving it with your feedback.
Congratulations to the top participants, and thank you to everyone who competed, shared feedback, or helped make this possible!
