Despite the NYPD's assault on protestors yesterday in Bay Ridge, the heart of NYC's Palestinian community, we flooded the streets for Gaza unafraid. No amount of repression and violence will slow us down. We will gladly risk everything for Palestine 🇵🇸

There were multiple cases of police brutality against pro Palestine protesters at the Within Our Lifetime demonstration this Saturday held to commemorate the 76 years of the ongoing Nakba, there was police presence and surveillance from the beginning. The NYPD and SRG unit deployed on our peacefully protesting students by administration's call were armed with tear gas, riot shields, guns, and battons. This is a UNIVERSITY, not a WARZONE! 🚨THE CUNY GAZA SOLIDARITY ENCAMPMENT LIVES ON🚨 We have just taken the CUNY Graduate Center and renamed our library "The Al Aqsa University Library." We are highlighting CUNY's complicity in scholasticide and the Zionist entity's systematic destruction of every single university in Gaza. CUNY should not be able to posture as a center of learning as long as it prioritizes profit over liberatory education. We look to the Palestinian people and the Palestinian resistance as our teachers in liberation. As the largest Black and Brown public university system in the U.S., we have a special responsibility to our colonized brothers and sisters in Palestine, because we know our liberation is connected. CUNY must adopt our Five Demands and drop all charges against protestors!
