Fingal's Cave is a famous sea cave 69 m deep and 20 m high, washed out of the rock by sea water, on the island of Staffa. According to legend, he laid the so-called Giant's Causeway between Scotland and Ireland. In Gaelic the cave is called Uamh-Binn - an ancient name that can be translated as "cave of melody".
