| 8 |  For several years, I have suffered from chronic pain, cPTSD and, on top of that, since childhood I’ve had untreated severe anxiety and depressive episodes. I've finished my therapy after 7 years, and for the first time since I can remember, I feel good mentally - no panic attacks, no mood swings I can't control, no flashbacks that make me lose my mind; I could say that I'm pretty happy, finally. BUT my body stops me from enjoying it. I thought the main cause of my pain was the spine injury from 12 years ago, but it turned out that it may not be the case. Some doctors say it's psychosomatic, but since I'm in a good place mentally, it should get better. But at the beginning of this year, it got worse. I've had a sudden attack of severe pain, without any obvious reason, that made me bedbound for 2 weeks. Recently, I got diagnosed with adenomyosis, and it explains many of my symptoms that were previously tagged as "psychosomatic".
If you think, "Okay, Bure, one time you say that you need help because of a spine injury, another time it's cPTSD that causes psychosomatic symptoms, and now adenomyosis; are you just collecting diagnoses? What is really happening, that's inconsistent!" - you are not alone. I have no fucking idea what makes me feel this way; maybe it's all of it combined, maybe it's something else. Doctors tell me one thing, then send me to another doctors, who tell me something different. I'm fucking tired. I really wish I knew how to treat whatever the fuck this is.
For now, after my last menstrual cycle, I feel exhausted, and for the last 3 weeks I've been sleeping about 14 hours a day. For a few days, I felt like I was on a bad trip (with distorted vision even, yay). Overall, when I have two good weeks a month, it’s a good month. I’m either in pain and weak from bleeding too much during menstruation, recovering during the follicular phase, in pain again during ovulation (sometimes bad enough I can’t move for a few days) or depressed and tired during the luteal phase (I have very bad PMS symptoms, sometimes including suicidal thoughts and plans). Recently, I said that I got a job after months of searching, and I was happy to have a bit of stable income, but guess what? I spent most of those 3 months on sick leave and got an ambulance called once. So, I had to quit it.
Right now, the course of action is as follows - for the next three months, I have to take hormonal contraception, painkillers and meds to stop excessive bleeding if needed, rest and take supplements, and I hope this will help. But I have no job, and I'm not sure if I'll manage to take new commissions - that's why I'm opening Patreon again (rn it's waiting for a review before being published). I'm desperate to finally get a diagnosis that will not change next month, to heal and to feel good enough to live normally, because right now I really can't; I don't want to lose hope and become depressed again, after 7 years of working hard to overcome my mental struggles. I hate my body for not giving me a chance to live the life I worked so hard for.
