In other news, there is no way i can afford my dream 50-100 acre yet, but found out i have ancestral land in my village around 5 acre. Finished all available permaculture/afforest material available on earth. Went there and dig the bore in hope to make it my learning playground to connect with nature. Water came, plenty of it available in ground was happy. Took the soil and water samples to determine what type of trees/crops/fruits/veggies i can grow for my own consumption and use the 80% for aggressive miyawaki forestation. Reports came yesterday, soil is alive but in bad health, water is bad like so bad it broke the meter in salinity. Absolutely nothing can grow here specially when summers are 50 Celsius . I mean it can if i use pesticide, herbicides, uria and chemicals, thats what everyone is doing. But i cant do that, whole idea was to produce your own stuff in purest way possible. It’s extremely disappointing but at the same time a challenge worth taking. May be it’s time to listen, Observe and work with the land instead of farming it just for sake of it. After all it’s an experimental project. Next step is to mark it properly and create a fencing parameter. Workout a rain water harvesting plan and take an electricity connection.
