🔍 New Ancestor Species Found in Ethiopia Scientists have unearthed 13 fossil teeth in Ethiopia’s Ledi-Geraru region that reveal a previously unknown Australopithecus species living 2.6–2.8 million years ago. Ten of the teeth belong to this new species, while three come from early members of the genus Homo, showing that the two lineages shared the same habitat.
