This Side Art Bei Ton 17h00 Lateral Movement 19h30 fm+i (live) 21h00 Hypnotic Black Magic That Side Dream Ticket 17h00 Roy 20h00 Binary Digit Upside 18h00 Ambient Sleepers Berlin based label Art Bei Ton has been taking its immersive techno sound around the world, and now it lands in Lisbon. Label head Hypnotic Black Magic is joined by local heroes fm + i (Floating Machine + Inerte) performing live and a DJ set from Lateral Movement on This Side, while the label’s chillout side-project Ambient Sleepers will take over the Upside. Meanwhile, Roy from Dream Ticket returns with the first artist to ever release on the label, French wizard Binary Digit, for electro, braindance and much besides on That Side.

POSTER Franco-Brazilian designer and artist Raphaël Rubio Meau shapes images with his brother David as part of Super Surface Studio, the creative force behind the visual identity of Outra Cena since the beginning. Raphaël moves between academic modes and visual irreverence, blending precision and insubordination, subverting codes and questioning the limits of what is visually acceptable. His style always serves the message, drawing on a contemporary vernacular aesthetic freed from institutional rules and proposing new approaches. In the current climate of repression faced by the club, Raphaël presents a poster as a visual pamphlet to defend our alternative spaces in an increasingly sanitised Lisbon. With a deliberately corrosive and kitsch style, this artwork acts as a graphic ‘bomb’, asserting itself in the urban landscape as a cry of resistance: a claim for freedom and the right to exist. January at Outra Cena Last January we were standing beside our friends at Planeta Manas as they weathered a campaign of police raids that ultimately saw the venue close its doors. This year it’s been our turn, and we are still fighting. We believe in this space and we know we’re not alone. So we bring you January’s programme of stellar artists and collectives, and be it morning, day or night (watch this space) we hope you’ll join us on our next leap into the unknown.

FInally, the Upside will be filled with the ambient and experimental vibes of Carolf from the Living Room collective. These events are critical for our survival.
