فالحدود الصحية لا تبنى على الأسرار بل على احترام المسافات. فما كان حقا لك وجب أن تعلمه وما كان حقا لي فلي أن أحتفظ به. فالخصوصية حق أما الخباثة اختيار.

هلبا ناس تخلط بين الخصوصية و الخباثة و بين الكتمان و الخداع... فالخباثة أنك تخفي ما يحق للأخر معرفته، أو ما يترتب على جهله ضرر أو تضليل. أما الخصوصية، فهي أن تحتفظ بما يخصك وحدك، في حاله لم يلمس أحدا ولا يغير حقا له، ولا يدفع عنه ضررا. فمش كل الي لا يقال يعتبر خيانة وليس كل ما يخفي يعتبر مكرا. ف الانسان ليس ملزما أن يجعل من نفسه كتابا مفتوحا لكل عابر، كما أنه ليس من حق أحد أن يقتحم ما لم يدع إليه. وفي الأخير للصدق حدود، وللخصوصية حرمة، ومن الحكمة أن يعرف المرء الفرق بين ما يجب كشفه، وما يحق له الاحتفاظ به لنفسه.
