Since October 7th, the BBC has issued FIVE apologies for spreading disinformation about Israel. Hamas fakes kidnapping an Israeli soldier? In a video published by Al Qassem Military Media, Palestinian terrorists of Hamas movement can be seen dragging the body of an IDF soldier who was ambushed in Jabaliya. Hamas has claimed it has also captured a few of his friends but has not provided additional footage yet. In Jabaliya, where the 98 Paratroopers division of the IDF operates, Israeli paratroopers are equipped with M4 carbine NATO rifles, and soldiers of the 89th "Oz" Brigade (98th Division) are equipped with M4A1 carbine, Tavor's, and Negev light machine guns. In the video, Hamas publishes footage of Czech-made M-CZ Scorpion EVO 3 A1 submachine guns not seen being used by any IDF soldier in Gaza. Moreover, Czech-made guns were seen being used by Hezbollah SOF "Radwan Force" in a photo posted near April 17, 2024. Moreover Israeli military observers note that the IDF hasn't used 9mm submachine guns recently.
