Dear prelims minions. 😄. I remember reading one article on Richard Branson. The Virgin Atlantic guy. He once said, ‘ set ur life, time, priorities and interests, all aligned to one single goal. He talked about simulating and ‘visualising’ the manifest of what u seek to achieve. I find that very powerful. In fact that a cheat trick to tune ur mind. A reminder. Set your body clock. Your body circadian rhythm. U must set it right. It’s takes 7-10 days to get used to a new pattern. No night-owl slog. What happens many a times is on the exam day while u wake up ur mind is still in the sleep zombie mode. U are not alert. And that can cost u couple of questions. So start ur body training. A. A typical day planner can look like (this planner for days u are practising both, GS and CSAT). Say, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday. 1. Wake up 5:00 am. 2. Stay on bed and Revise ur last days work till 7:00 am. Recall. Read. Refer. Think. 3. Leave ur bed, get fresh. Breakfast. 4. By 8:30, try getting back to ur table and settle down. Choose a test u want to practice from. It can be a previous year’s paper too. Or any full length from an institute u trust. (Make a good compilation of 10-15 full length tests from 3-4 institutes. Ask ur friends). Sit calmly and quietly for 30 minutes. 5. Start ur test at 9:30-11:30am keep it exam simulated. Keep ur fan on a very slow mode. Simulate the heat conditions of ur centre. June is going to be hot. Get used to sweating. Drink lot of water. Keep 2-3 chocolate bars. U need glucose to fire ur brain. 6. Take 30 min break. Maybe a banana. Take a walk across ur room. 7. From 12:00-1:00pm do some revision of GS. Look up some concepts u did not know in ur GS-1 FLT u tried. Read about it. Make notes. 8: take lunch. Light. Revise for GS-2. Take GS-2 full length test at 2:30-4:30. 9. Take an hour break. Snacks. Think. Calm down. 10. 5:30-8:30 pm- check ur GS-1 and GS-2 scores. Detailed analysis. Ur guess work. Ur wrong answers. Silly mistakes. Make notes of ur learning. This is ur actual study time. But study with a strategy. 11. Take dinner. 12. 9:30-10:30 revise. Recall. Study. And retire not later than 10:30-11:00 pm. U must wake up at 5:00 am. U need 7-8 hours of good sleep. ——————————————— B. Plan for Tuesday, Friday, Sat and Sunday. U needn’t take CSAT test everyday. Make it trice a week. For days u are not taking CSAT test, 2nd half are GS practice should be devoted for practice and recall. So from 1:00 pm only GS and current affairs revision. *** don’t read any new concepts. Now-on only revise. Recall. Study whatever u have already noted and summarised. At edukemy we have done intense summarisation of current affairs. Revise that. Focus on more often asked sections in GS. Don’t spread thin across all topics. This day planner is a suggestion. U can always modify it to suit ur requirements. All the best. Keep at it. Any issues, call up. 9868424660 on WA. Leave a msg. And I will get on touch. My wishes. Happy to support

I am posting the link to the telegram channel of one of my friends who has cleared CSE IFS 2023. This person, whom I know personally, has shown exceptional resilience and dedication for a considerably long period of time. He has gone through all those phases of despair and demotivation and has eventually emerged victorious. There is enough wisdom to be derived from stories of people who have seen life at its lowest and yet have bounced back higher than they could have ever imagined. https://t.me/rohantiwari_ifs
