Hurt people hurt people. Childhood is a gentle, open prison with kids' hands and wills fully tied to adults. If toppled by trauma - whether physical, emotional, or mental - this period transforms into a hostile, closed prison. In adulthood, the trauma now reverberates through every aspect of life. Parents with deep wounds become especially dangerous. So, no, good parenting doesn't start when we are a certain age or have a certain education degree or have established a certain level of financial freedom. It starts when we come to grips with our childhood scars and gain the maturity to forgive those who wronged us. https://t.me/englishnudge

#bookreview "Born a Crime" is the reason I fell in love with memoirs. Its rhetoric is honest through and through—you dive into a conversation with the author from the get-go. Trevor Noah candidly shares his life story. He didn't have it easy at all—growing up under the apartheid regime, living below his means, and suffering at the hands of his stepdad. It's the recipe for a disastrous childhood. The only rose in the concrete was his mom, who taught him how to live, how to think, and how to love. Her story taught me, the reader, how to be an inspiring parent. It is a 10-star biography. Treat yourself to this beautiful tale. P.S. The quote below belongs to Trevor Noah's mother. It hit home. Do you agree with it? "Trevor, remember, a man is not determined by how much he earns. You can still be a man of the house and earn less than your woman. Being a man is not what you have; it's who you are. Being more of a man doesn't mean your woman has to be less than you." https://t.me/englishnudge

A productive morning sets the day in motion, but a good end sets the tone for tomorrow. In books, an intriguing opening captures the reader, but the last sentence of each paragraph, page, or chapter lingers in the mind. In relationships, first impressions set the stage, but the last interaction determines if there will be another. In life, early milestones serve as springboards for future achievements, but a beautiful end (with Laa Ilaha Illalloh) defines our state in the eternal world. No matter what it is, let's make the end always worth the wait. https://t.me/englishnudge

#Transcript I'll have to make a small twist to this question. Instead of talking about a single person who won a competition, I would rather talk about a group of people who took up a challenge, came together, and became winners. A couple of years ago, a group of professional chefs from my country made the largest amount of pilaf that the world had ever seen. It was unprecedented, and people were extremely excited because pilaf is our signature food, and it's something that we love having, not just on regular days, but also on special occasions. So, it got everyone's attention, not just locally but also globally. A group of experts from Guinness World Records came to observe this occasion. Those involved set up a huge pot in one of our largest parks to make this entire process accessible to literally everyone. I don't really know the exact amount of pilaf they made, but rumor has it that all the people in the city got their dinner for free that day. This flavorful food was distributed among those who came to watch the event, and the event was even televised. This was such a huge deal. The most important thing is that these chefs made their names into the Guinness World Records book, which I don't think happens every day. https://t.me/englishnudge

Life is like the Apple logo—no one has it all. Something is always missing. For some, the missing piece is health; for others, it's wealth. Some long for strong family bonds; others need friends to pour out their souls to. Some crave peace; others seek fun and adventure. Some are crippled by a lack of faith; others believe more knowledge would make them whole. Steve Jobs was a genius behind this logo. Will there ever be a bigger genius to discover the missing bite, though? https://t.me/englishnudge

#Transcript How important is a to have rules in a school? I would say very important. School is a formal institution, and just like any other formal setting, rules ensure that everyone stays within the bounds of their responsibilities and adheres to them. And this will bring about lots of positive outcomes. This will mean that everyone is responsible for their tasks and bring something to the table and creates that win-win situation in the end. Why do many choose to study law at university? Well, there are lots of factors at play. Obviously, one important reason is some really care about justice, and they want to help others to advocate for their rights. They get a lot of satisfaction from it. I would say another key reason is they are drawn to law for the career prospects, because law is pretty versatile, and it allows you to practice your skills not only within the sphere of law, but also in business, public relations and the like. Also, it's pretty lucrative. So you ensure stable earnings once you become a lawyer. What are some personal qualities needed to become a successful lawyer? There is no denying that successful lawyers need to possess a range of positive personal qualities. One that tops all of them is probably a strong sense of judgment. Good lawyers need to be able to tell between the right and wrong and stand by justice and defend it, advocate for it no matter what is at stake. Another quality is strong work ethic, I believe. You know the competition in the field of law is pretty tough, rigid. So to be able to to stay on top of everything and negotiate cases effectively, lawyers have to study their cases with particular scrutiny. They need to organize their points and present them in front of the judge with confidence. And this definitely requires a lot of hard work and persistence. https://t.me/englishnudge
