Repost from Abdulaziz Sobirov
For context, this message was addressed to rising seniors. If you’re just starting high school, or finished your first year of high school, then I think it’s good to consider taking APs.
Admissions in general are advancing rapidly in Uzbekistan, so in a few years time APs will probably becoming an essential factor for your application to be competitive. But, this year, and probably next year, you don’t need to stress over AP exams.
Also, you can always mention in your application that the only AP exam testing center in Uzbekistan is located in Samarkand, so AOs won’t expect you to have AP scores.
Any external exams are meant to be intensively prepared for DURING and before your junior year of high school. If you’re just starting to prepare after finishing junior year, then it’s not worth your time.
