The simple present perfect continue tense. The simple present perfect continuous tense is used to describe an action that started in the past, continued up until the present, and is still ongoing. It is formed with the auxiliary verb "have/has been" followed by the present participle (-ing form) of the main verb. For example: - "I have been studying for three hours." (Meaning: I started studying three hours ago, and I am still studying.) - "She has been working at that company since last summer." (Meaning: She started working at the company last summer, and she is still working there.) - "We have been waiting for the bus for a long time." (Meaning: We started waiting for the bus a while ago, and we are still waiting.) - "They have been playing tennis all afternoon." (Meaning: They started playing tennis this afternoon, and they are still playing.) It is important to note that this tense focuses on the duration or continuity of an action, rather than the result.
