😢 Jallianwala Bagh Tragedy On April 13th 1919, a large crowd gathered peacefully at Jallianwala Bagh, Amritsar, Punjab to protest the arrest of Dr. Satyapal & Dr. Saifuddin Kitchlew. Colonel Reginald Dyer, the Military Commander of Amritsar, surrounded the Bagh with his troops, closed the gates & gave order to shoot at the peaceful congregation. There was a massacre. Hundreds were killed & thousands wounded. This incident is known as the Jallianwala Bagh massacre.
