According to KRG spokesperson Peshawa Hawrami, prime minister Masrour Barzani signed a decree which hands over the legal, financial and administrative powers of the regional Peshmerga commands to the ministry of Peshmerga. This is part of the effort to unify the Peshmerga command(s) within the KRG into one unified command under the ministry of Peshmerga. If properly implemented it is perhaps the most significant change within the Peshmerga and the security of the Autonomous Region of Kurdistan.
