Right place, right time. Fishermen off the coast of Chile were working when a group of orcas approached their boat — and one clearly needed help. The animal had rope, buoys and a weight tangled around its tail and stayed close enough for the fishermen to act. They hooked the floating line, pulled it within reach and carefully cut the rope away with a knife. Once free, the orca simply swam off to rejoin the rest of the group. A historic Shiva temple in West Bengal collapsed into the Ganga after severe flooding and rapid riverbank erosion overwhelmed the site. Locals had tried to reinforce the bank with sandbags after part of it gave way a day earlier, but the strong current eventually took the entire temple. 🇩🇪🇺🇦 Berlin Criticizes Kiev Over Spending of Western Aid German Foreign Minister Johann Wadephul has criticized Ukraine for not placing enough weapons orders with German defense companies, arguing that Germany’s massive support for Kiev should also benefit its own defense industry. Germany says it has provided or earmarked more than €43 billion in civilian assistance and around €58 billion in military aid to Ukraine since 2022. That tranquilizer definitely hadn’t kicked in yet. A leopard hit by a car on a highway in India's Karnataka, suddenly charged a Forest Department official during a rescue operation. Officials had already tranquilized the injured animal, but before it went into deep sedation, it lunged at one of the rescuers. The leopard was eventually secured and taken to a hospital for treatment. The man escaped with no major injuries and is undergoing treatment in a private hospital.
