Oil has slid to fresh three-month lows as the deal moves further into implementation, which is unambiguously risk-positive. On the other side, the hawkish Fed repricing from Warsh's meeting is the heavy counterweight. Treasury yields spiked to multi-month and in some cases multi-year highs earlier today, and futures now price roughly a 70% chance of a rate hike by September. That yield surge is exactly what dragged the tech stocks lower and is capping crypto's upside here. So we reamin in a consolidation period for now. For the bounce to extend, I need BTC to keep defending the 200-week SMA and hold 62.8k, and I want USDT Dominance to keep failing at that 8.78% weekly resistance. Thursday's PCE is the swing factor. A soft print eases the September hike fear and frees risk assets to run, while a hot print locks in the hike and pressures everything. This stays a defend-the-levels tape, not a chase-it one. Be patient and manage your risk accordingly.
