And such rhetoric is seen as permission to use Storm Shadows/Scalps, a military aviation officer who prefers to remain anonymous, told the BBC. So, he says, Ukraine can now hit airfields in the Kursk and Belgorod regions that border Ukraine.

24 At different times, Maryana was held in Donetsk, Olenivka, Taganrog, Kamyshin, and a colony in Mariupol. During her two years of captivity, she endured numerous physical and psychological tortures. She was starved, beaten, and threatened with being shaved bald. She lost a significant amount of weight, her kidneys and legs began to fail, she developed back problems, and chronic bronchitis set in. Only after this did russia allow her to be exchanged for one of their soldiers.
There is no justification for such inhumane, barbaric treatment of Maryana and other women in russian prisons. She was not a combatant, she was held hostage for no reason. Her only "crime" was being a representative of the Ukrainian state.
About four hundred Ukrainian women remain in russian prisons. Most of them are civilians, abducted just like Maryana Chechelyuk. Some have been in captivity for three years now. For unknown reasons, russia is very reluctant to return Ukrainian women, even in exchanges for male prisoners of war. 25 This young woman in the photo is Maryana Chechelyuk. Before and after russian captivity. Today, she has finally returned home after two years in russian prisons.
Maryana was abducted by russian occupiers in May 2022 while traveling to Zaporizhzhia from the besieged Mariupol, where she worked as a police investigator. At that time, a humanitarian corridor was organized for civilians, her parents were allowed through, but Maryana, along with her underage sister Alina, was taken for filtration in the village of Bezymenne in the Donetsk region. From there, Maryana was taken to a prison in Donetsk.
