Why Descriptive Preparation Shouldn't be delayed? In NABARD Grade A, 150–200 marks are decided through Descriptive Writing. In RBI Grade B, 200–300 marks depend entirely on descriptive answers. In IRDAI Grade A, it is 300 out of 300 marks—purely descriptive. In SEBI / PFRDA / IFSCA Grade A, 100–200 marks come from descriptive papers. These are Phase II marks, the stage where actual selection is decided. And yet, on average, most students spend less than one hour a day on descriptive writing—some don’t practice it at all until the notification arrives. This is the real gap. Students invest months in prelims, speed, and MCQs, but when it comes to the most decisive component of selection, they either postpone it or treat it casually. Descriptive writing is not about last-minute preparation; it requires clarity of thought, structured expression, and regular practice. If you are serious about final selection, descriptive writing cannot be optional or secondary. It deserves daily, focused time, just like Quant, Reasoning, or Current Affairs. Remember, prelims only decide who stays in the race. Descriptive writing decides who finishes it. That too in a situation when the Objective in Phase II has become very unexpected and random.

AI in Finance: Operational Efficiency vs. Systemic Shocks Disclaimer: Predicting Essay in SEBI is tough as there hasn't been fixed themes in the Past, though they have been asking 1 topic from ESG/social impact and 1 topic from market/management but still the theme of the topic hasn't been same. Prepare these topics as well as the Topics shared Before and do follow the three suggestions given to you.

Stick To Word Limit. These days in IBPS Exams word limit is in a range for Essay. Also they give you word limit for Precis too. For RC, as I had suggested before try to keep it 1 Marks = 10 Words. Stick to word, neigher more nor less, with just +/- 5 Words.
