အင်္ဂလိပ်စာလေ့လာတဲ့အခါမှာဖြစ်ဖြစ်၊ တခြားဘာသာရပ်တွေ လေ့လာတဲ့အခါမှာဖြစ်ဖြစ် မှတ်စု (Note) ကို စနစ်တကျ မှတ်တတ်ဖို့က အရမ်းအရေးကြီးပါတယ်။ မှတ်စုထုတ်တဲ့နည်းလမ်းကို အသုံးချပြီး စာပြန်နွှေးတဲ့အခါ အချိန်ကုန်သက်သာစေပြီး ပိုပြီးလည်း မှတ်မိလွယ်စေပါတယ်။
ဒီနေ့မှာတော့ ကမ္ဘာတစ်ဝှမ်းက ကျောင်းသားတွေ အသုံးအများဆုံး နည်းလမ်းတွေထဲက နည်းလမ်း (၁) ခုကို sharing လုပ်ပေးပါ့မယ်။
ဒီနည်းလမ်းကိုတော့ ၁၉၅၀ ပြည့်နှစ်ဝန်းကျင်မှာ Cornell University က Professor Walter Pauk က စတင်ဖန်တီးခဲ့တာဖြစ်ပြီး စာပြန်နွှေးတဲ့အခါ အချိန်အနည်းဆုံးနဲ့ အထိရောက်ဆုံး ဖြစ်စေမယ့် နည်းလမ်းတစ်ခုပဲဖြစ်ပါတယ်။
Cornell Method ကို ပြင်ဆင်ပုံ (Step-by-Step)
အဆင့် 1⃣ - စာမျက်နှာကို (၃) ပိုင်း ပိုင်းလိုက်ပါ။
စာအုပ်တစ်မျက်နှာကို "I" ပုံသဏ္ဌာန် မျဉ်းတားပြီး အပိုင်း (၃) ပိုင်း ခွဲလိုက်ပါ။ အောက်မှာပုံနှင့်တကွ ပြပေးထားပါတယ်။
ဘယ်ဘက်ကော်လံ (Cues): ၂ လက်မခွဲခန့် အကျယ်ထားပါ။
ညာဘက်ကော်လံ (Notes): ၆ လက်မခန့် အကျယ်ထားပါ။
အောက်ခြေအပိုင်း (Summary): ၂ လက်မခန့် အမြင့်ထားပါ။
အဆင့် 2⃣ - စာသင်နေချိန် (Record)
ညာဘက်ခြမ်း (Notes) မှာပဲ မှတ်စုမှတ်ပါ။ ဆရာ၊ဆရာမတွေပြောသမျှအကုန်လုံးကို စာကြောင်းအရှည်ကြီးတွေ လိုက်မရေးဘဲ အဓိကအချက် (Key ideas) တွေ၊ အတိုကောက်စာလုံးတွေနဲ့ ပုံကြမ်းလေးတွေကိုပဲ သုံးပြီး မှတ်ပါ။
အဆင့် 2⃣ - စာသင်ပြီးပြီးချင်း (Questions/Cues)
အတန်းပြီးသွားတာနဲ့ (သို့) စာဖတ်ပြီးတာနဲ့ ဘယ်ဘက်ခြမ်း (Cues) မှာ ညာဘက်က မှတ်စုတွေကို ပြန်ကြည့်ပြီး မေးခွန်းတွေထုတ်ပါ။
အဓိကစကားလုံး (Keywords) တွေကို ရေးပါ။ ဒါက စာပြန်နွှေးတဲ့အခါ သင့်ကို အကူညီပေးမယ့် နေရာဖြစ်ပါတယ်။
အဆင့် 4⃣ - ကိုယ့်ကိုယ်ကိုယ် ပြန်စစ်ဆေးပါ (Recite)
ညာဘက်က မှတ်စုတွေကို လက်နဲ့ဖုံးထားလိုက်ပါ။ ပြီးရင် ဘယ်ဘက်က မေးခွန်းတွေကိုကြည့်ပြီး အဖြေတွေကို အသံထွက်ပြီး ပြန်ဖြေကြည့်ပါ။ ဒါက အလွတ်ကျက်တာထက် ပိုထိရောက်တဲ့ Active Recall နည်းလမ်းပဲဖြစ်ပါတယ်။
အဆင့် 5⃣ - အနှစ်ချုပ်ရေးပါ (Summary)
စာမျက်နှာရဲ့ အောက်ဆုံးမှာ တစ်မျက်နှာလုံးမှာ သင်ခဲ့ရတဲ့အရာတွေကို မိနစ်အနည်းငယ်အတွင်း ကိုယ်ပိုင်စကားလုံးနဲ့ အနှစ်ချုပ်ပြန်ရေးပါ။

မှတ်စုဆိုတာ ပြန်ဖတ်တဲ့အခါ ကိုယ်တိုင် ပြန်နားလည်ဖို့က အဓိက ဖြစ်ပါတယ်။
