Speed Reading Techniques 1. Previewing : Glance through the titles, subtitles, and highlighted texts in a book. You’re not just skimming, you’re constructing a mental framework for the detailed exploration that lies ahead. [Can be used to quickly and effectively read your Current Affairs Magazines] 2. Space Reading : Instead of focusing on each word, shift gaze to the spaces between words as your peripheral vision can catch and comprehend multiple words at once. [I find this more useful when reading Self Help books and the like when a lot of discussion follows a particular topic] 3. Eliminate Subvocalisation : Read without silently pronouncing each word. [Use it for your revisions. Less reading, more visualisation helps to retain better] 4. Practice Pacing : Increase speed gradually while maintaining comprehension. [Helpful while reading long, heavy reads with a storyline] 5. Chunking : Group words together to get through them faster. [Should be developed as a general habit] Happy speed-reading! 📑

Maharashtra IAS officer Dr Pooja Khedkar accused of using fake certificates for selection An impending crisis for UPSC and potentially for DoPT. Allegations of fake OBC, Fake Physically handicaped and first posting in home disctrict. Allegations that she even did not go to AIIMS medical test despite being called for 6 times.
