Hi! Vishal Here, appeared for gate 2024, currently working in EIL(Engineers India Limited). Gate Rank: 957 Gate Marks: 53.33 Category:SC I completed my graduation in 2023 and Gate 2024 was my first attempt. Might be appearing for the next one also. ESE prelims 2024 Marks: 210(Self Checked) , Qualified. Couldn't qualify mains examination, will definitely appear for next year. I believe, I am not the right persons to suggest you what's wrong and what's right you know better than me what's best for you but Sir asked to share prep strategy so will try to keep it short but detailed. Do’s Complete your course, study the subjects thoroughly. Along with solving workbooks and pyq(at least 10 years,Gate exam is 60% previous year questions) questions. Once you have studied the subjects, prepare short notes in a single notebook, per subject 8-10 pages max. Later prepare formula notes(this is the most imp) of 1-2 pages per subject and leave pages. Revise both these notes on a regular basis. Solve Test series completely, at least two coaching centers. One won't do(This is the mistake I did, I feel). Solve one test series on the harder side and another on the same level as Gate. Don't s Don't miss any one of the above points. Suggestions Find time for yourself at least half or an hour everyday. Go on walk,do exercise, yoga, read books(not theory books), play badminton not(mobile games) whatever suits you. Solve as many questions as you can. Try not to look for the solution. Solve the test series sincerely like real test scenarios. This is must do bcz this will decide your score. And if you find some new formula there, note it down in the formula notes.
