*From Poverty to Presidency:
Abdul Kalam's Inspiring Journey*🙏🙏
Avul Pakir Jainulabdeen Abdul Kalam, the 11th President of India, was born in a poor fishing family in Rameswaram, Tamil Nadu. His early life was marked by hardship and struggle.
Kalam's father, a boat owner, couldn't afford to send him to school. However, his mother encouraged his love for learning. Kalam would often assist his cousin, a newspaper distributor, to earn money for his education.
*Perseverance and Hard Work*
Kalam's determination led him to:
1. Walk 4 miles daily to attend school.
2. Study under the light of a kerosene lamp, as electricity was scarce.
3. Sell newspapers to support his family.
Despite these challenges, Kalam excelled academically, particularly in mathematics and science. He graduated in physics and later joined the Madras Institute of Technology.
*Overcoming Failures*
Kalam faced setbacks:
1. He failed to secure a job in the Indian Air Force due to a lack of pilot training seats.
2. His initial projects at the Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) were unsuccessful.
Undeterred, Kalam persevered, and his hard work paid off:
1. He became a key figure in India's space program.
2. He developed the SLV-III, India's first satellite launch vehicle.
3. He played a crucial role in the development of India's missile program.
*Rise to Presidency*
Kalam's dedication and achievements earned him:
1. Padma Bhushan (1981)
2. Padma Vibhushan (1990)
3. Bharat Ratna (1997)
4. The presidency of India (2002-2007)
*Lessons from Kalam's Life*
1. Hard work and perseverance can overcome adversity.
2. Failure is an opportunity to learn and grow.
3. Passion and determination can lead to greatness.
4. Education and knowledge are key to success.

"Reaching the top without competition? That's unrealistic!
Don't assume hardworking individuals lack awareness about opportunities.
Set realistic goals or recognize that achieving success requires dedication.
Please refrain from sending unnecessary messages. Prioritize studying and minimize social media/WhatsApp usage."

I passed out of college in May, 2023. I have joined the K batch, Sultanpur, MadeEasy on June 7th of 2023. I have given ESE 2024 interview recently, selected for IOCL, Gate rank 208.
Some things that I followed and came to know during my preparation
1. My preparation strategy was to blindly follow whatever the faculty tells us to do. I feel that this is the easiest strategy. For eg. if sir tells to revise and solve the numericals from workbook, at any cost I try to complete it that day itself (No postponement)
2. Shortnotes making
Keep a small diary or a notebook, only write those formulae, graphs, velocity diagrams etc that you forget ( don't write everything). This becomes very important just before one to two days of exams. (This tip was given by Bansal sir)
3. Keep a diary, track what you have to study and what you have studied already. Be systematic and have a schedule.
4. Studying anything for the first time feels tough, with time everything becomes easy.
5. Do not miss any class at Made Easy at any cost. I have not missed even a single
class be it from the technical or G.S portion.
6. Importance of Test series: Giving more tests kills the anxiety, fear and the element of
surprise which everyone feels in exams. Don’t give too much attention to marks in
test series.
7. Don’t compare yourself with others. Remember you are not only competing with your
friend, classmates, you are competing with the whole of India. Focus on yourself.
RAC, Powerplant class experience:
1. I studied RAC (Foundation and Mains batch) and Powerplant (Mains batch) from Bansal sir.
2. Best thing about RAC is that Bansal sir covers the work book in class itself.
3. I observed that during revision it is always easier to revise RAC notes. (as we repeat
the formulae in class itself, it automatically gets fed in the brain)
4. Sir's notes are full proof, you need not refer to any other book. Be it w.r.t GATE, ESE
pre, mains any exam question can be solved. (Strictly no need of reference books)
5. I can thoroughly say RAC is the subject I enjoyed the most in terms of teachings, life
learnings, and getting clarity of thought. Even a straight 6 hour class would not bore me.
6. Even the hardest concepts felt easy after the class. During college days I used to
have a hard time solving Psychrometry, Ventilation air, Steam turbine numericals. I
became comfortable with these concepts after sir’s class.
7. And Sir was only a message away, he supported me at all stages of preparation be it
during prelims, mains or even for interview.
Finally I feel blessed to have a teacher, mentor and an inspiration like Ashcharya Bansal sir. May
