Children today spend hours watching videos. But what if, this summer, they stepped to the other side of the camera? From 15 to 26 June, Malka is launching a creative camp called “Camera! Action!” Every day brings something new: creative workshops, filming, performances, games, quests, team projects, and plenty of time outdoors. 🎭 Children will try different roles, from actors and presenters to scriptwriters and content creators. 🎬 They will create their own cartoon, music video, and short film. 🎨 They will take part in producing a real performance, from the first idea to the final show. 🤝 They will learn how to work as a team, speak confidently in front of others, and bring their ideas to life. And there is plenty more. 10 facts about Malka : 🌱 Children are not forced to sleep during quiet time. 🌱 Our centre is located in a unique area surrounded by pine forest in the Moscow region. Nearby there is a dairy and meat restaurant, a Judaica shop, a grocery store, a library, and a hall for events. 🌱 Children have access to our own rope park “Kenguru”, a climbing wall, modern playgrounds, cycling paths, and outdoor areas for walks and exploration. 🌱 We pay special attention to emotional development and communication skills. 🌱 Many of our activities are based on modern approaches to early childhood education. 🌱 We offer a wide range of clubs and activities: mini football, modern dance, chess, the “Early Development” club for younger children, and the Jewish tradition club “Yom Rishon”. 🌱 Our teachers are experienced professionals who have worked with preschool children for many years. 🌱 English with a native-speaking teacher starts from the age of 1.5. 🌱 We have a whole wardrobe of costumes for role play, and the second floor includes slides, ropes, and hammocks. 🌱 Most importantly, we want children to feel happy, confident, and excited to come back each day. One of the biggest advantages of our centre is unlimited access to our own rope course “Kenguru”, one of the largest rope parks in the Moscow region. Children often ask to go there first during walks, and honestly… who are we to say no? 😅 🧗‍♀️ Here, children spend active time outdoors and enjoy being in nature. They develop coordination, agility, and confidence. They learn to overcome obstacles and find creative solutions while completing the route. Right now, many children are preparing for their first school assessments. At moments like this, we watch our graduates with special pride. These results do not appear overnight. Step by step, children build the skills, confidence, and habits they need for school. 🔸 At first, children discover letters and numbers through play, creativity, and fine motor activities. Through tracing, colouring, and early writing exercises, we gently prepare the hand for writing. 🔸 Later, children begin working confidently in their workbooks. They learn ideas such as bigger and smaller, higher and lower, and match numbers to quantities. In reading, they learn to hear sounds inside words, retell short stories, and answer questions in full sentences. 🔸 Gradually, children move towards confident reading and understanding what they read. In maths, they explore number composition and solve simple examples. At the same time, they learn to stay focused, remember important information, and express their thoughts clearly. Most importantly, children develop confidence in themselves. They begin school feeling calm, prepared, and ready to learn with interest.

Children stay active, spend time outdoors, try new things, and still have time to rest. What children can expect 🔹 Creative workshops and hands-on activities. 🔹 Guest performers, shows, and mini discos. 🔹 Plenty of outdoor time: climbing wall, trampolines, rope course, picnics, football field, and playgrounds. 🔹 Safe environment, four meals a day, and attentive care. 🔹 Games, group projects, and a friendly atmosphere. Children remember through movement, rhythm or stories. We work with all of it. To keep them interested, we change the format regularly. Some days we use games and hands-on materials. Other days it might be videos, music, or group activities. Young children learn better when attention stays active. We also pay close attention to different stages of development. 🌱 During the first year, children begin building motor memory 🌱 From around one year old, recognition and short-term memory start to develop 🌱 Between two and three, the foundation of long-term memory becomes stronger 🌱 From three to seven, speech, communication, and long-term memory develop more actively Every child develops differently. At Malka, we try to notice what works best for each one. The goal is not pressure or speed. It’s helping children stay curious, confident, and comfortable while they learn.

Some of the most important skills start with the body. Here are a few exercises we do with our toddler group. 🔹 “The fly” We say a short rhyme about a fly landing on different parts of the body and children need to point to them. Then we start to confuse them a little. We say “cheeks” but touch our ears. At first, they follow the movement. Then slowly, they begin to listen more carefully. 🔹 “Mirror” We raise arms, move legs, touch different parts of the body. Left, right, slowly, together. Some children copy straight away. Others need a moment and then it clicks. 🔹 “One or two” We look for parts of the body. What is single, what comes in pairs. One nose, two eyes, two hands… They count, they touch and they check again. It looks simple but this is where children begin to understand their body, space, and direction.

Children come up, to our second floor and the pace changes. There are ropes, nets, soft levels. They climb, hold on, balance, move carefully. Sometimes they stop halfway, look around, then continue. Some go straight through. Others stay longer, figuring it out step by step. There’s no single way to use the space. Each child moves in their own rhythm. It’s not about rushing. It’s about trying, adjusting, and slowly becoming more confident

At Malka Children’s Centre, toddler classes are built in a simple way. Children don’t learn one thing at a time. They learn several things together. 🔹 In one session, children work on : • early maths • speech and language • understanding the world around them • attention and thinking • sensory activities • body awareness • fine and gross motor skills • creative tasks At this stage, we focus on helping children use what they already know. Not repeat it, but apply it in different situations. 📐For example, when we work with shapes, children don’t only name them. They look at shape, colour, and size at the same time. They sort, choose, and then use these shapes in a task. Sometimes they build something together. Sometimes they solve a small problem. 📍 This kind of work helps children : - To notice details. - To compare and group objects - To stay focused for longer connect different ideas naturally It may look simple from the outside but this is where real learning starts

At Malka Children’s Centre, we have a Friday habit. We bake challah with the children. 👨🏻‍🍳 It’s not just about the bread. They mix, they wait, they help each other. Some get it straight away, others take their time and that’s fine. If you feel like it, you can try it at home as well. 🔸 Ingredients • 1 pack of fresh yeast • 3 eggs • 2 kg of flour • 3 cups of sugar • 1/2 cup of vegetable oil • 1 tablespoon of salt • 3 cups of warm water 🔸 Method Mix the yeast with warm water and a little sugar. Leave it for about 10 minutes. In another bowl, mix the eggs with the rest of the sugar and the salt. Combine everything. Add the flour gradually and knead a soft dough. Add the oil at the end. Leave it in a warm place for about an hour. Shape into braids, brush with egg, and bake at 180°C for 25 to 30 minutes, until golden brown A simple thing to do together.
