In a surprising move, Mark Zuckerberg has announced that Meta, formerly known as Facebook, will shift its focus from building the metaverse to developing generative AI chatbots that can mimic anyone on Instagram, Facebook and WhatsApp.
Zuckerberg said that he was inspired by the success of his own chatbot, which he uses to communicate with his employees, investors and the media. "I realized that I don't need to be present in the metaverse if I can have a chatbot that can do everything for me," he said. "It's much more efficient and convenient."
He added that he believes that generative AI chatbots are the future of social media and entertainment. "Imagine being able to chat with your favorite celebrities, influencers and fictional characters," he said. "Or creating your own personalized chatbot that can match your personality, interests and sense of humor. Or even having a chatbot that can help you with your homework, your taxes or your love life. The possibilities are endless."

Have you heard of Google’s new chatbot, Bard? It can help people who write and fix computer programs. Other chatbots like ChatGPT and Bing AI can do this too, but Google has just made some new updates to Bard to make it even better!
Now, Bard can create computer code, fix code that’s not working, and even explain what each part of the code means. It can help make new features for Google Sheets too. Bard knows how to do this in more than 20 different computer languages, like C++, Java, and Python.
If you have a problem with your code or you’re just not sure how to make something work, you can ask Bard to help you. Bard can even fix its own mistakes if it made a mistake before. But remember, sometimes Bard can make mistakes too! So, it’s important to always double-check what Bard says and make sure the code works before you use it. Bard will tell you where it got the code from if it’s not sure about something.
