Internal documents seen by Noticer News show that Aboriginal criminals are getting millions of dollars in fines wiped thanks to special Senior Aboriginal Liaison Officers appointed to assist Indigenous people in Western Australia.
A single officer in the Perth Magistrates Court helped wipe $1,016,073.86 worth of fines between March and December 2023, and hopes to raise that number to $1.5 million in 2024.
No similar roles exist to help White Australians or any other non-Indigenous group with fines.
