When I was a child, I used to bite my hand whenever I cried or got angry, to silence my screams or to silently release my anger. Many years passed, and I thought I had outgrown that strange habit. I thought I was cured. I thought I was okay. But today I did it again unconsciously... I drew blood from my hand, not because I was looking for pain, but simply... to silence my crying and the screams of my pain-laden heart

I love a straightforward person who doesn't pretend or hide behind words, who expresses their feelings as they are, without beating around the bush. They say it in a firm voice: "I love you" or "I'm not comfortable with you," without making me guess or look for hints. Clarity, in my view, is beauty, and honesty is a strength not everyone possesses. To be bold in speaking the truth is enough to make you stand out in my eyes

Silent as the sea, yet within me raging waves crash against the walls of my heart, screaming in unheard silence, carrying a fetus heavier than drowning. Every wave a story, every stillness a waiting. I appear calm as the horizon, but my depths teem with secrets. Do not be deceived by my silence, for in silence there is the clamor of one who has found no one to understand him

What shall I say to him if he comes asking me if I hate him or love him? Oh God - even his smallest things torment me, so how can I escape these things, oh God? Why do I stare at the mirror, asking it which of my garments I should wear to meet him? And how can I approach him when he is my grave? Can a river change its course? I love him! I don't know what I love about him, even his sins are no longer sins! Love on earth is but a figment of our imagination; if we hadn't found it, we would have invented it. What shall I say to him if he comes asking me if I love him? I love him a thousand times.
