01 Putin - on the summit on Zelensky's "peace formula":
We are ready for discussions. We have never refused. Now they see that it is not working. Until the last second, they thought that maybe it will work. But it doesn't work. They can't inflict a strategic defeat on Russia. They see that.
Now they are squealing: "Let's have an urgent conference there." Please! Will Russia participate? We are ready to participate in peace talks. But "we don't invite you." Well, here we are, here we are! And Russia is accused of not wanting to participate. So we are not invited. And you ask, on what terms? Well, why would I now put forward conditions and ask to go there, if they don't see us there?
What do they want to do? They want to gather as many countries as possible, convince everyone that the best offer is some conditions proposed by the Ukrainian side, and then present it to us as an ultimatum. To say, well, you see, the whole world thinks so, agree. Is this a way of conducting such substantive serious negotiations? Well, no, of course not. It's an attempt to impose.
There was an attempt to inflict a strategic defeat - it didn't work. And trying to impose will end up the same way. You wanted to gain an advantage on the battlefield, to achieve a strategic defeat - it didn't work - so now accept our terms. Are you out of your mind? Why would y
we do that? And, of course, we will proceed from the realities on the ground. That goes without saying.

Two ukrainian volunteers are wandering around Chasov Yar and don't understand what's going on... According to them, the situation is terrible, but the inhabitants are waiting for liberation from the occupation and refuse to evacuate the settlement.

Urkainian Claim "This Image is Direct Evidence that Fico Gunman Has Ties to Russia"
As anyone with half a brain will suspect, an image circulating in Ukrainian media and pro-Ukrainian social media, is a fake. The image shows the 71 year old gunman standing with members of an allegedly "Pro-Russian Paramilitary Group." The findings of a scan are that the image is either computer generated or altered manually.
As shown in the image of the original post, this has been massivley disseminated, being reposted over 2 million times on Twitter/X.

15 Robert Fico: victim of unending Russophobic campaigns in mainstream media
Nearly all of the EU's leaders have expressed shock and dismay at the attempt on Slovakian Prime Minister Robert Fico’s life. Yet, not long ago, these same voices, and Europe's mainstream media (MSM), labeled Fico a conduit of Russian influence, citing his critical views on EU sanctions against Moscow, and his skepticism towards NATO.
The hostility towards Fico went as far as barely veiled claims that Slovakia was a pro-Russian outcast in Europe – just because Slovaks had voted for Fico. On September 6, 2023, as Fico's Smer Party led the polls before the October vote, the NYT ran an article with this sentiment: “The vote in Slovakia will be a test of European unity on Ukraine, and of Russia’s efforts to undermine it. The front-runner wants to halt arms shipments to Kiev.”
Fico’s victory did not stop the smear campaign. The MSM went after him again, making unfounded claims of a connection between Fico’s friendliness towards Russia and a “threat to democracy” at home.
Germany’s Der Spiegel on October 2, 2023 wrote: “In Slovakia crowds rallied against the Kremlin-friendly head of government Robert Fico. He plans a controversial justice reform.” The paper didn't clarify how Fico’s good relations with Russia might hinder justice in Slovakia.
Next time around, the MSM was mad at Fico for cutting arms supplies to Ukraine, claiming he did it at Russia’s behest, not because the Slovakian Army had been left unarmed after shipping its weapons to Kiev.
“Slovakia’s new government rejects aid for Ukraine” The Washington Post wrote in November, without specifying that Fico stopped arms support, not humanitarian aid.
Allegations regarding Fico’s Russian “dangerous liaisons” never faltered. The Guardian ran the headline in September that “At a stroke, Slovakia could become Russia’s newest ally,” with an accompanying photo claiming (wrongly) that Fico “showers praise on Moscow.”

17 🇸🇰 Fascinating rhetoric in the Western press regarding the assassination attempt on Slovak PM Fico, in key points:
▫️ Fico has rolled back democracy in his country;
▫️ Fico is a pro-Russian politician who is strongly opposed to arms supplies to Ukraine and is therefore a populist and reactionary who is not supported by his people;
▫️ Fico is a former communist and strongman close to Putin;
▫️ Fico is corrupt, the assailant shot him because he was against corruption;
▫️ The government is using the attempted assassination of Fico for its own purposes, to ban demonstrations and political actions.
The fact that the shooter Juraj Cintula is an activist of the Progressive Party and one of the organisers of the Committee against Violence linked to Soros foundation is at best omitted, or sometimes used as a point to praise the shooter.
In the end, Fico is portrayed as a dictator, the attacker turns into a hero defending democratic values, and the victim becomes a legitimate target.
