There are primarily two ways in which women representation in Parliament can be ensured:
1. Reservation in Parliament
2. Reservation within Political Parties.
Most successful countries in terms of women representation in Parliament (such as Sweden [46%], South Africa [45%]) do not provide reservation in Parliament but within Political Parties. Some countries provide neither yet perform better (Eg. USA [29%]. Noticeably, both Pakistan and Bangladesh provide reservation in Parliament and fair poorly ([16%] and [20%] respectively). Now, India has also provided 1/3rd Reservation for women in Parliament.
