The bar graph provides information about how far passengers traveled in the UK between 1990 and 2000. Overall, the total distance traveled by passengers recorded an upward trend, as did the distance traveled by bus, rail and air. However, the figures for Bicycle and Motorbike decreased. Of a particular note is that, people in the UK used Bus and Rail consistently more as a means of transport than other devices in question. Focusing on increases first, the total distance traveled on average recorded a 10-km increase between 1990 and 2000, with the figure hitting 110 km in 2000. With the relative shares of exactly 40 and about 35 km in 1990, the figures for bus and rail increased merely 10 years later. Air transport, being the least common means of travel in 1990, showed about three-fold increase and hit an average travel distance of 6 km in 2000.
