Constantinople was its previous name. Twice the capital of the world: once under the Byzantines, then with the Turks after Mehmet took the city in 1453 and made it Ottoman. Istanbul is alive in a way few cities are. Narrow streets thick with the smell of fresh-ground coffee and the hum of the espresso machines. Kebab sellers shouting "abi" to fight for clients. A flock of tourists flooding from every corner. And of course the locals, the cats, who somehow run the place more than anyone else. @husan_thinking

Did the check-in, the passport control, and the security check in about 15 mins. My record as we speak.

Our team got into Uzcombinator's 2nd batch. Cool things happen when you meet cool people and decide to build cool stuff. (I used "cool" three times and I refuse to apologize.) There are more personal updates coming. Will share them soon enough. @husan_thinking

Usually, a trip of this fun demands an essay to be written, but it appears I am in no condition to write one thanks to my boilding schedule. But, regardless, here are some pictures from our trip with @abrorsec. We visited a couple valleys. Jetty-Oguz, Altyn Arashan, and trekked through Al Archa on the last day with Andrew and Nina. It was fun. Tried qymyz more. Ate Beshbarmak with a frenchman learning russian. Stayed in an actual yurta and endured the morning chill. Cracked joked with local kyrgyzmen on a free dinner. Rode horses through the Jetty Oguz valley. And, ofc, made new amazing friends - as it always happens wherever you travel. I might go back to Kyrgyzstan at some point. But not soon. There's more places to explore. More dishes to try. And more people to meet. @husan_thinking

Opus. Sonnet. Fable. Haiku. You may know these terms because of Claude. But... Shakespeare wrote sonnets. Aesop wrote fables. The Japanese poet Matsuo Bashō created haikus. And Beethoven's genius gave birth to opus's Western startups seem to name their products in style. Not random unpronouncable words with a trail of unrelated numbers The devilish spell. So, seeing Aisha roll out Navoi-TTS brought a smile. First, it is open-source. Uzbek TTS model literally waiting for you to go and tweak. Second, it's got such a banger name. The best name for an Uzbek TTS model, in fact. Check out Navoiy-TTS. Cool stuff. @elzodxon and @otabekswe are cooking @husan_thinking

The audience size in the channel doesn't mean much on its own, but the quality behind them. You can find a program with many people, yet filled with spam messages that is mostly personal, which I think is ok. However, I decided to share my own folder of channels that I find worth sharing. None of them being paid/promoted, but as a useful stack of channels that generally people might find it useful. (or remove from the list). Check them out: https://t.me/addlist/1LQNq7YSWPI5NTAy
