I am in the airplane! In a handful of minutes, my plane will take off to New York.
Alhamdullilah.
This was my drawing project for the English final.
I chose to create a visual art piece of an African-American being oppressed. I tried to tie this back to one of the books that we read during the second quarter Things Fall Apart. The meaning that I am trying to convey is that The English came to Africa, it invaded Africans' lands and enslaved the locals.
The hands are supposed to mean that even after centuries, black people are still "not accepted as '
people" and being discriminated against. If you noticed, I added shadow to the drawing of the man. That's because I wanted the hands to be "different" than the skin color of the man.
Also, the man is neither frowning nor crying since he feels like the black community already lost the war against a pervasive issue called RACISM. (I forgot to add the hashtag #saynotoracism)
The purpose of this drawing is to highlight this social problem and call for everyone to fight for Black People's Lives.
That was my English Final Project.
#BlackLivesMatter
sometimes, I wanna delete all the photos and videos that I took on my phone because I took 500+ videos and 200+ photos in Hawaii. That's insane.
Anyways, I have my boarding pass printed. I am good to fly to New York!
A reminder.
I am flying to New York in 6 hours. So, I am pretty excited!
I just saw some comments below my recent youtube video. ".... that's normal to hug your male friend as a close friend."
For all those who think so, I didn't go in detail explaining how they were hugging and patting at each other's butts. I hope now you understand what I meant in the video.
I got almost a perfect score. I can now prepare for the last two Finals (English III B and US History)
Universities will highly value that.
Her ancestors were Jewish people, and they knew Russian. I was first surprised when I saw her trying to write Russian letters and make up a word. I asked if she was Russian-American, to which she replied back saying that her grandparents were from Poland.
Well, her drawing turned out to be pretty good eventually.
