Diesel or the dark: PetroSA overcharges Eskom and demands payments in advance. Eskom has been forced to pay exorbitant prices for diesel it buys in bulk from PetroSA, the financially distressed state-owned entity which is its main diesel supplier, even as the utility battles in vain to stave off worsening stages of rolling blackouts. But it may be one of the last cars I ever actually own, as mobility patterns undergo a huge change in the next couple of decades. Many studies have predicted that by 2030, hardly anyone in the US and Europe will own their own car. Instead, most people will use self-driving, electric ride-shares to get around. In Dubai, they may use self-piloting drones. Minnesota Legislature Passes Bill to Legalize Abortions Up to Birth By 1 Vote The Minnesota Senate today passed a bill to enshrine in Minnesota law a right to abortion without limits at any time during pregnancy. Senators approved the bill, H.F. 1, by just a one-vote margin, 34-33. Gov. Tim Walz is expected to sign the sweeping measure into law. “Minnesotans don’t support elective third-trimester abortion. They just don’t.
