Yuriko Hori (堀 百合子, Hori Yuriko), née Yuriko Koyanagi (小柳 百合子 Koyanagi Yuriko), is the wife of Kyousuke Hori and the workaholic mother of Kyouko Hori and Souta Hori.
Yuriko is seen as a very gentle and caring mother, but also prone to being lazy in the kitchen.
In Chapter 119.7, as seen in a flashback of her days in high school, she was noted to have a serious side to her beneath the calm and collected front, thus heavily implying that she was no pushover. Kyouko Hori (堀 京子, Hori Kyōko) is the female protagonist of Horimiya. She was a student in Class 3-1 of Katagiri Senior High School.
On the surface, Hori is presented as the energetic, outgoing, and smart girl in school. But behind closed doors lies a different image from the one she presents herself when in the face of friends.
Diligent in both academics and simple housework, it wasn't until Hori discovers a new side of someone who's just like her, and that person happens to be none other than the "gloomy otaku" classmate of Class 3-1, Izumi Miyamura, the latter whom she met by chance when he brought her brother home after a minor accident outside.
As the two got to know one another and decided to keep each other's real personalities from their inner circle, a friendship between them blossoms, which gradually turns into love, and they officially become a couple. | 40 |
