Guys the Talking Point documentary was so fun!!! I really enjoyed filming it & getting to know the host (Steven) and the other journalists and the owner of the tuition centre we filmed in. He went to Harvard for his masters (so cool) and is moving to the states (comme moi) but to the east coast (if I do move, it’ll be to the sunny west coast) 🫶 I can’t wait for the documentary to be out even though this nagging part of me is insisting that they captured a bad angle, a new zit popped up that day & I’d look revolting, or that I stumbled over a few sentences. ☹️ it’s okay I am still very grateful for the opportunity 😎😎😎 life is beautiful and I am incredibly blessed

I’m almost done with the final essay! I’ve been sharing it with my friends but I don’t want it to be too edited/manicured. It’s very much an autobiographical recount of my own experience battling an eating disorder when I was 14-18 years old ☹️ it can be very triggering and graphic at times so please feel free to click away if this may be a topic that’s extremely sensitive to you! I’ve been trying my best to be more vulnerable online. I’ve always been drawn to words & essays & for the longest time I’ve wanted to build a career based on my writing ability… To some extent, I already have (and am so grateful for that!) but I do want to continue exploring the written word + push the boundaries of what I’m already doing I desperately want to be taken seriously as an essayist, copywriter, and teacher. I want to be more than just a face on social media. I love embracing my girlhood on occasion but lately I’ve been questioning all the feminine labour that goes into maintaining physical appearances ☹️ in fact I’m writing an essay on that next……. I will have the essay up by Thursday I PROMISE! Then I’ll record a podcast episode to go with it & I genuinely hope — with all my heart — that my words will be an investment in your social capital. The most educated girls are the prettiest girls!! I am beyond grateful for this little community of mine & I want to make you question things and feel less alone, if you have ever struggled with any form of self-destructive behavior, or ever had the mental capacity to question your beliefs and the way you’ve been doing things
