The sad part is owning a house and having a big family supporting you is not a given nowadays, nowadays we work hard to extreme extends, just so we can MAYBE buy a house by the age of 35, which most of us won't even achieve during our entire lifetime..

Agree but also disagree there's plenty of accounts of our ancestors saying a good life is a hard life. Listening to my older relatives or older people in general they often express phrases like "I never had bad times, only hard times" The times outside of famine and war seemed pretty nice, although difficult. I feel like anyone thrives in a natural enviroment with hard work. I actually touched on this subject with my mother as well, many people nowadays live a very difficult yet rewarding life, with less luxury but still explaining they are much happier than westerners, which I fully believe. I've personally also experienced that the days and summers I've spent working hard on my relatives land to dig holes and cut wood, were the most fulfilling, ofcourse these things aren't EVERYTHING, but I fully believe a hard life is rewarding. Spiritually, emotionally and physically. If you have family, a roof and don't need to starve, that's good. Our ancestors weren't always starving and dying like in the movies

Most of the time, our ancestors didn't lead an easy life. Nobody of a sound mind wants their descendants to have a life full of hardships. This whole idea that we should go back and live as people did thousands of years ago isn't about honoring our ancestors. In the end, it is to overlook what they expected for us (to thrive and have more comfort, instead of living from hand to mouth), but is also to overlook the extent of their hardships.
