Happy & Blessed Friday Friends! The VanDeWater Homestead at Liberty Hill Farm Busy on the farm these days. Growing season is in full swing. Everything looks healthy, vibrant and what is edible tastes delicious. A few updates: the pumpkin patch now has an A frame for them to grow up and over. When full, should look amazing.We created a trellis for the watermelons to grow over. Another neat creation I'm looking forward to seeing at peak. First round of potatoes are close to harvest. I already snuck in some blues and they were delicious with our farm fresh eggs. Ray made planter boxes for our extra tomato plants. I think they add charm to our greenhouse area. Been battling some critters. The catbird in our strawberries. Up went netting and now catbird proof. Strawberries have been so sweet and juicy. Ground hogs ate our sunflowers and a few other easy to reach plants. We've been critter proofing as much as possible. Overall fun on the farm!
