A humble request to fellow administrators and defence pages; Please refrain from posting pictures, personal details and other related information of serving/retired soldiers without prior permission. There have been many such instances, seen since last year. Its the soldier who has to eventually suffer. Your intention may be pure and 'motivational' but the results, not so much. Don't let the fauj and faujis suffer for the sake of some likes, follows, content or 'motivation'. Jo hona hai discipline se hoga, andar ki aag se hoga. Stories may inspire you but not every story is meant to be written. Everything that is posted on IMN and subsidiary channels is either available in public or posted with prior notification & permission from the concerned pupil. They expect the same from you. If you think kise hi pata chalega, even the CO's know. So, for the sake of those protecting you, stop doing such things. If not, the consequences may not be very pleasant. In god we trust, the rest we monitor. This applies regardless of the SM platform. Regards IMN.

Controversial pics from zanskar. Sorry to burst your bubble but except for one guy, all of these men are from Parachute Regiment. The unit was earlier an airborne/regular para unit that got converted to SF last year. The person in multicam is a retired Colonel from the same unit who currently is a pvt trainer for such units.

I've seen a lot of questions so as to why this guy is carrying 2 radios. Firstly you need to understand how these radios specifically work. It's not that you hook up a radio in your kit and go into any combat situations. The radio on the belt is a motorola SRX-2200 p25 radio. It is a really advanced one yet its form factor is small which makes it ideal in a lot of cases. The second one on the back is a L3Harris RF7850-SPR, a MANET/RoIP capable radio with a host of features that makes it extremely robust and powerful. Now the question comes, why 2 radios ? This setup isn't working in isolation, the motorola radio is tethered to the l3 one which helps in configuring the motorola radio without fiddling around in intense combat situations. Speeding up the decision making process of any operator. Plus it adds the power of "mesh networking" to a p25 radio which works on line of sight concept using UHF/VHF frequency bandwidth, hence eliminating the possibility of being limited by geographical relief during any operation.
