2. When will selections for my project start?

If things are the same for previous launches, some applicants will be informed of the 'start month' of selection - ask your potential neighbours if you weren't given this info. That said, even with this info, there is no straightforward answer to this question at present. Prior to the previous launch i.e. Dec 2023, the communicated start month was specific to that project. However, for the Dec 2023 launch, the start month was for the exercise in general. Specific: Q1 of <project> will be scheduled in <month> Exercise in general: Q1 of at least one project of the Dec 2023 exercise will be scheduled in <month> As such, if things are the same for Feb 2024 projects, you should not assume that queue 1 for your specific project will definitely be scheduled in the communicated month (much less your own appointment). You can only conclude that this will be the earliest month that selection for your project could start. FYI I am currently crowdsourcing for start month datapoints across Feb 2024 projects here. 3. My number is XXX, got chance?

One needs a crystal ball to answer this with certainty. In addition, historical data has little meaning at present, given that policies surrounding rejecting a flat with a queue number within supply (hereon referred to as "the Policies") were only recently put in force, and will likely affect dropout patterns. But if you're merely looking for a gauge, peruse the below at your own risk ⚠️. METHOD 1 Using data from projects not affected by the Policies For BTO projects up until the May 2023 launch (inclusive), all applicants who had a number within 117.1% (mature estates) or 101.5% (non-mature estates) of the flat supply got a chance to select a flat - regardless of ethnicity. Details here and here, respectively. To make use of this data, divide your number by your flat type's supply (refer to this post). If this is smaller than the number below for your estate type, you could consider yourself safe. Mature estate: 1.17 Non-mature estate: 1.02 METHOD 2 Using data from projects affected by the Policies As at the time of this post, only one project affected by the Policies has run out of at least one ethnic quota for a flat type, and that is Plantation Edge I & II (Tengah). For this project, 3R applicants who had a number within 66.7% got a chance to select a flat - regardless of ethnicity. Details here. To make use of this data, divide your number by your flat type's supply (refer to this post). If this is smaller than 0.667, you could consider yourself safe.

The link(s) to your respective project brochure(s) is/are accessible via the HDB portal when you receive your appointment officially. This was how a past applicant managed to derive the URLs of all other brochures, as we can engineer them as long as we have the project names (that is, unless HDB decides to change the URL formats... again). 2.
