Repost from Diyorbek's IELTS
🇺🇿 to 🇺🇸 A common mistake students make while speaking occurs because they directly translate phrases from their native language into English. While doing so might result in a sentence that is understandable to the listener, it might not always be the most natural way of expressing that thought. For example, today I conducted speaking mock tests with some candidates, and their response for common questions was typcial of common mistakes made in speaking I hear by Uzbek students. To the question, "Do you study better in the morning or in the afternoon" a candidate said "I study better in the morning because I have a fresh brain". While the phrase "I study better in the morning because I have a fresh brain" is understandable, it may not be considered entirely idiomatic or conventional in English. Write a better way of expressing that thought in the comments.

I am not sure if you know but everyone seems to be familiar with the cover song "In the end" but I think they haven't given its original one a try. I enjoyed it🎶

*** Music that I'd love to listen all day long would be Ash's. We all need some time to just ignore all the chaotic life and struggles and immerse ourselves in music.

*** At the of the day, it's the ones around you that influence you in many ways, even though you don't notice or accept it.

*** Today, as in days past, there is no way to tell from a person's life, from his deeds, whether or not he is a believer. If there is indeed no difference between those who are clearly adherents of the Orthodox faith and those who deny it, then it is not to the benefit of the former. Then, as now, the open avowal and confession of the Orthodox faith occurred largely among narrowminded, cruel, and immoral people wrapped up in their own self-importance. On the other hand, intellect, honor, straightforwardness, good-naturedness, and morality were for the most part to be found among people claiming to be disbelievers Leo Tolstoy

*** He gave himself over to teaching and what he has found out from this all these years is that the more he learned, he realized that he knows nothing about the world.

*** There are so many types of intelligence, most of which I didn't know existed. Take social intelligence, for example; people should have it to be able to build better relationships and communicate effectively. As I said earlier, I have been reading a book and every day I share something that jumps out at me or resonates with me in some ways. Today the line that surprised me was, "Never talk about your accomplishments in a way that exaggerates your hardships for a sympathetic response. This makes others uncomfortable because they feel pressured to fake an emotional response." The recommended action is not explicitly given, but it probably implies that the opposite needs to be done. Another thing that socially intelligent people do, according to the book, is they never try to inform others of their ignorance. Instead of saying, "You are wrong!" they say, "I have never thought of it that way... But something I have recently learned is this..." By the way, this book called "101 Essays that will Change the way you Think."

*** Emotional Intelligence is probably the most underrated trait in our society. I've been reading something related to this lately and I wanted to share some highlights. Emotional intelligent people: - don't assume that the way they think and feel about the situation is the way it is in reality. - know that happiness is a choice, but they don't feel the need to make it all the time. They aren't stuck in the illusion that happiness is a sustained state of joy. - know that feeling indifferent is a sign that you're on the wrong path, not feeling a fear. - don't confuse a bad feeling for a bad life.

Is this even real? How is this possible? I'm absolutely blown away by this worst flight. https://youtu.be/MhkTo9Rk6_4?si=MdqTswQddCE5ULWB
