*JAMB ANNOUNCES NEW CHANNEL TO ACCEPT/REJECT ADMISSION* The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has introduced new channels to accept or reject admissions on the Central Admissions Processing System (CAPS). This method aims to protect candidates from falling victim to unscrupulous practices that exploit their aspirations. JAMB stamped this change after noting that certain institutions had been accepting or rejecting admission offers on behalf of candidates. Such actions were undertaken to manipulate vacancies for less-qualified but favored candidates. Additionally, some cybercafés and Centre were extorting money from candidates by leveraging their admission statuses. To curb this unethical behavior, JAMB has established a more secure system to ensure that only candidates themselves can control their admissions. To facilitate the acceptance or rejection of admission offers, candidates can now send "ACCEPT" or "REJECT" via SMS to 55019 or 66019 from their dedicated phone lines. Alternatively, candidates may verify and manage their admission status using fingerprints at any accredited cBT Centre or JAMB office nationwide. This streamlined process upholds the sanctity of the admission system, ensuring a fair and transparent outcome. The new SMS method aims to safeguard personal information while maintaining the integrity of the admission process. Previously, candidates could log in to their profiles via accredited CBT Centre using the Central Admissions Processing System. The updated method enhances security by ensuring candidates directly manage their admission status, eliminating the chances of manipulation or coercion by external parties. In adopting this change, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board remains dedicated to providing a transparent and candidate-friendly admission process. To avoid any pitfalls, ensure you use the new SMS codes or visit an accredited CBT centre to securely verify and manage your admissions on CAPS. MR FEMI EDU CONSULT 📚🎓

2024 WAEC AGRICULTURAL PRACTICAL (1) Great care should be taken to ensure that the information given below does not reach the candidates either directly or indirectly before the examination. (2a) The provision of specimens, materials and equipment for the test is your responsibility. (2bi) Where a specimen is not readily available in sufficient quantity. It should be shared among small groups of candidates. (2bii) Each candidate should be provided with the following specimens labeled accordingly: A - Ranging Pole; B - Arrow; C - Measuring Tape; D - Wooden Peg. • For specimens E, F and G, you are requested to get some quantity of dry sand, dry clay (ground) and dry loam (ground) respectively. • Get three capillary tubes, label each of them E, F and G. • Close the lower ends of each of the capillary tubes with a plug of cotton wool. • Put the: (i) dry sand into the capillary tube labelled E; (ii) dry clay (ground) into the capillary tube labelled F; (iii) dry loam (ground) into the capillary tube labelled G. • Shake or tap the ends of the capillary tubes to make sure that the particles are tightly packed/settled in each of the capillary tubes. • Get a water trough and put water in it until it is half full. • Set the capillary tubes securely in the trough. • Leave the setup to stand for 24 hours before the examination. H - Maize Weevil; I - Bean beetle; J - Grasshopper; K - Cotton stainer; L - Tilapia (whole and fresh); M - Hay; N - Fish meal.

(ii) interpreter is a software component that runs on a computer. (iii) interpreter is specifically designed to execute programs written in a particular programming language. (iv) An interpreter must translate the high-level programming language instructions into machine-level instructions before they can be executed. (5bi) (PICK ANY ONE) (i) Easier to read and understand, making the code more maintainable and less error-prone. (ii) Abstraction from low-level hardware details, allowing the programmer to focus on the problem-solving logic. (5bii) (PICK ANY ONE) (i) Closer to the hardware, allowing for more control and optimization of system resources. (ii) Faster execution time, as low-level instructions are directly executed by the computer's processor. (iii) Better understanding of the underlying computer architecture and how it operates. (5c) (PICK ANY TWO) (i) Efficiency: The program should be designed to use system resources (CPU, memory, storage) effectively and minimize computational overhead. (ii) Reliability: The program should be able to handle unexpected inputs or errors gracefully, without crashing or producing incorrect results. It can check whether the inputs are equal, or if one is greater than or less than the other, depending on the complexity of the comparator. Simple comparators might just indicate equality or inequality, while more complex ones can provide specific outputs indicating which input is greater or smaller. Comparators are fundamental in digital circuits for sorting, decision-making, and numerical operations.
